The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
